Label: Discotheque Wreckers
′Discotheque Wreckers′ is the new label of U.K production duo Psychemagik, and a platform for some ultra rare records with their own tasty re-edit treatment.
Psychemagik not only make some pretty out there music of their own, their edits are starting to get a lot of love from dj′s around the globe. Longtime vinyl hustlers, Pschemagick customers have included Disco Bloodbath, Lovefingers, Trevor Jackson, Horse Meat Disco, Fake Blood, Tom Middleton, Q-Tip, Beatnuts, Lord Finesse, Cut Chemist & Nu Mark to name a few. First among the selections here is an ultra rare Jean Pierre Massiera edit of ‘Running to my Life’ from the ultra sought after Graffitti Kids 12", regularly fetching 3 figure sums lately on the rare vinyl market. Next up, ‘Dance With Me’ is a sweet edit of ′What We Gonna Do When The Disco′s Over′ by Richard Hewson of ′The Rah Band′ fame - infectious disco with beautiful femme vox. On the flip is ‘Magic’, an obscure gem championed as a secret record on Dj Harvey’s Sarcastic Disco site which is going to stay a secret for now - psychedelic disco funk, soulful vocals, bugged out synths, guitars & rhodes and a solid beat underpinning this killer jam.
